We handle your information in line with UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

What we collect

  • Account and order details: your name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing addresses, and what you've ordered.
  • Payment information: card payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal payments by PayPal. We receive confirmation of your payment but never see or store your full card number.
  • Messages and sign-ups: anything you send us through the contact form, reviews or questions you post, and your email address if you join our newsletter.
  • Browsing information: your device and browser type, the pages you view and how you use the site, collected using cookies and similar technologies.
  • Approximate location: we work out your country from your IP address so we can show prices in your currency and the right delivery information. We don't track your precise location.

How we use your information

  • To take, process, deliver and refund your orders, and to look after your account (to fulfil our contract with you).
  • To answer your questions and provide customer support (to fulfil our contract and our legitimate interests).
  • To keep the site secure and prevent fraud and spam, including checking forms with Google reCAPTCHA (legitimate interests).
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it, and to measure our advertising (legitimate interests, or your consent where the law requires it).
  • To send you news about new styles and offers if you've signed up (your consent). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
  • To keep records and meet legal, accounting and tax obligations (legal obligation).

We never sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We only share what's needed, with:

  • Delivery couriers, so your order reaches you.
  • Payment providers (Stripe and PayPal) to take payment and process refunds.
  • Analytics and advertising services such as Google (Analytics and Tag Manager), Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Microsoft Clarity, which help us understand site use and measure our advertising.
  • Technology and service providers that host the site, send email and protect it from abuse, acting on our instructions.
  • Authorities and professional advisers where we're legally required to, or to protect our rights.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where that happens we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK's approved data transfer mechanisms.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your basket and currency, run secure checkout, and (with analytics and advertising partners) understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site, such as the basket and checkout, may not work without them.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the reasons above. Order and payment records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting law (currently six years). If you ask us to delete your account we'll remove your personal details, apart from anything we're legally required to keep.

Keeping it safe

Our site uses encryption (HTTPS) and we limit who can access personal information. No online service can be completely secure, so please choose a strong password and keep it private.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time where we rely on it. To use any of these rights, email us at sales@puraali.com or use our contact page. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

Our site is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
